French Jobless Claims Fall In November
(RTTNews) - The number of job-seekers in France declined in November, official data showed Thursday.
The number of those actively looking for work fell by 15,000 or 0.4 percent from the previous month to 3,574,800.
The Labor Ministry that released the data said in a statement that the number of unemployed has stabilized over the three months to November.
The number of young job-seekers, who are those under the age of 25, dropped by 6,000 or 1.1 percent from the previous month.
The French economy grew 0.3 percent in the third quarter. However, growth estimates for the current quarter have been trimmed to factor in the impact of the terrorist attacks in the French capital Paris during November.
The ministry noted that hiring continues despite the impact of the attacks that took place on November 13.
