Eurozone Consumer Confidence At 7-month Low

(RTTNews) - Eurozone's consumer confidence dropped for a fourth month in September and the decline was worse-than-expected, preliminary data from the European Commission showed Monday.

The flash consumer confidence indicator for the euro area fell to -11.4 from -10 in August. The reading came in below economists' consensus of -10.5.

The latest score was the lowest since February, when the reading was -12.7.

The consumer confidence index for the entire EU also declined in September, shedding 16 points to reach -8. It was also the weakest print since February.

The final consumer confidence figure will be released along with the economic sentiment data on September 29.
