EU Sentix Indicator Expected On Monday
(RTTNews) - With many of the European Union countries observing a market holiday today, economic data to be released on Monday are fewer than usual. The most notable among the releases is the Sentix investor confidence indicator for the eurozone.
Sentix is scheduled to release its investor confidence index for the eurozone at 4:30 am ET. The index is expected to rise to 13 in June from 12.8 in May.
At 3 am ET, the Czech Statistical Office will release its consumer prices report for May. Prices are expected to rise 0.1 percent month-over-month after remaining stagnant in April. Annually, an increase of 0.4 percent in prices is expected in May following the a 0.1 percent rise in April.
The Czech Statistical Office is also expected to release its unemployment report around the same time. The unemployment rate in May is expected to decrease to 7.6 percent from 7.9 percent in April.
Also around the same time, the Turkish Statistical Institute is scheduled to release the industrial production report for the country. Industrial production is expected to rise 3.3 percent year-over-year in April compared to the 4.2 percent rise in March.
The Croatian National Bank is scheduled to release the nation's trade balance report for March at 5 am ET. In February, a deficit of EUR 3.581 million was recorded.
At 6 am ET, Statistics Portugal will release the final Portuguese GDP report for the first quarter. GDP is expected to remain unrevised from the preliminary estimates, rising 1.2 percent annually but a 0.7 percent sequential drop.
