Estonian Inflation Eases To 5.2%
(RTTNews) - Estonia's consumer price inflation eased in September after accelerating to more than a two-year high in August, preliminary figures from Statistics Estonia showed on Tuesday.
Consumer prices rose 5.2 percent yearly in September, following a 6.1 percent increase in August, which was the highest inflation since July 2023.
Inflation-based food and non-alcoholic beverages moderated to 7.7 percent from 9.2 percent. Housing costs grew 2.5 percent, while clothing and footwear prices dropped 4.5 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices decreased 1.1 percent in September, reversing a 1.0 percent increase in August. Moreover, this was the first decrease in six months.
