COLOMBIA: Analysts Expect Above-limit Annual Inflation In 2017

(RTTNews) - Consumer prices in Colombia are expected to rise 0.12% in July from a month before and to end 2017 with an annual increase of 4.28% - above the 4% limit set by the government, according to the latest monthly central bank survey of analysts.

The poll also showed that analysts expect the Colombian peso exchange rate to hover around 3,044.55 pesos per dollar in July, decreasing to 3,038.55 pesos by year-end.

The benchmark interest rate in Colombia should fall to 5.48% per year in July, from the current 5.75% rate, and reach 5.22% by December, according to analysts estimates.
