China Manufacturing PMI On Tap For Wednesday

(RTTNews) - China will on Wednesday see final December numbers for the HSBC Manufacturing PMI, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

South Korea will see consumer price figures for December; in November, overall inflation was down 0.2 percent on month and up 1.0 percent on year, while core CPI was flat on month and up 1.6 percent on year.

Malaysia will release November numbers for producer prices; in October, PPI was down 1.4 percent on month and 1.1 percent on year.

Finally, many of the regional bourses are either closed or working half days for New Year's Eve.

Closed markets include Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.

Markets with half-days include Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore.

It's business as usual for the bourses in China, India, Malaysia and Taiwan.
