BBVA FRANCÉS: Profit Rises 21.6% In The 3rd Quarter As Revenue Increases

(RTTNews) - Argentinean bank BBVA Francés net profit rose 21.6% in the third quarter from a year before, to 1.13 billion pesos (US$ 64.9 million), boosted by a 40% increase in interest income and a 20% rise in fee revenues.

BBVA Francés' expenses, however, also spiked in the third quarter from a year before, by 33%, to 3.155 billion pesos.

Regarding activity, the loan portfolio to the private sector evolved positively, growing 20.8% in the quarter and 52.1% in the last twelve months. Total deposits reached 129,948 million pesos, with moderate growth in the quarter (+3.4%) and a 41.4% increase on a yearly basis.
