Austria April Industrial Producer Prices Continue To Fall

(RTTNews) - Industrial producer prices in Austria continued to decline in April, a report from Statistics Austria showed Friday.

The industrial producer price index fell 1.2 percent year-over-year, after a 1.4 percent drop in the previous month. Producer prices have been falling since February last year.

The faster rate of decline in industrial producer prices was driven by a drop of 3.8 percent in energy prices and a 1.3 percent fall in prices of intermediate goods, the report said.

On a month-over-month basis, industrial producer prices remained unchanged in April, after six consecutive months of decline.
