Australia Unemployment Data Due On Thursday
(RTTNews) - Australia will on Thursday release unemployment data for October, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
The jobless rate is expected to rise to 5.7 percent from 5.6 percent in September, with the addition of 15,000 jobs following the loss of 9,800 in the previous month. The participation rate is expected to rise to 64.6 percent from 64.5 percent a month earlier.
New Zealand will see November results for the consumer confidence index from ANZ; in October, the index gained 1.6 percent to a score of 122.9.
Hong Kong will provide unemployment data for October; in September, the jobless rate was 3.4 percent.
The central bank in Indonesia will wrap up its monetary policy meeting and then announce its decision on interest rates. The bank is widely expected to keep its benchmark lending rate unchanged at 4.75 percent.
The Philippines will release Q3 data for gross domestic product; in the second quarter, GDP expanded 1.8 percent on quarter and 7.0 percent on year.
