Australia Inflation Forecast On Tap For Thursday
(RTTNews) - Australia will on Thursday see the results of an inflation forecast for January, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. In December, inflation expectations were for 3.4 percent.
Australia also will see November numbers for new home sales; in October, sales were up 3.0 percent on month.
New Zealand will release January numbers for the consumer confidence index from ANZ Bank; in December, the index climbed 3.9 percent on month to a score of 126.5.
Hong Kong will provide consumer price figures for December, with analysts expecting the inflation rate to slip to 4.7 percent after coming in at 5.1 percent in November.
Taiwan will see December unemployment data, with forecasts expecting the jobless rate to hold steady at 3.87 percent.
