ARGENTINA: Election Council Condemns Attack To Vote-counting Firm

(RTTNews) - Argentina's National Electoral Council (CNE) repudiated the attack that took place yesterday at the offices of Indra, the company in charge of processing the primary legislative elections' data, and requested the government to reinforce security measures before Sunday's vote.

Last week, a letter-bomb exploded at Indra's new offices in Puerto Maduro, in Buenos Aires' downtown, injuring two employees. Police are still investigating potential suspects.

In a statement, Indra said that it has already taken security measures to preserve the physical integrity of its employees and to ensure "maximum transparency" in the elections. Indra also ratified that despite this unfortunate event, "will offer the service of provisional scrutiny of the next legislative elections maintaining the highest quality and reliability, as it has always done."
