Windstream Corporation -- Moody's affirms Windstream's ratings following creation of HoldCo

New York, August 30, 2013 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") has affirmed the ratings of Windstream Corporation ("Windstream" or the "company") including its Ba3 Corporate Family Rating ("CFR") and Ba3-PD Probability of Default Rating ("PDR") and all rated debt along with the stable outlook following the company's announcement to create a newly formed holding company ("Holdco") at the top of its corporate structure. The existing rated issuer, Windstream Corp., will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the holding company with existing debt remaining at Windstream Corp.
