Vedanta Resources Plc -- Moody's: Cairn India's disputed tax liability is credit negative for Vedanta
Singapore, March 17, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service says that Vedanta Resources Plc's Ba1 corporate family rating and Ba3 senior unsecured ratings are under negative pressure because of a demand by Indian revenue authorities that Vedanta's subsidiary, Cairn India Ltd (CIL, unrated) should pay a $3.2 billion tax liability.
