Townsend (Town of) MA -- Moody's assigns Aa3 to Townsend, MA's $2.5M outstanding GO
New York, June 30, 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service has assigned an Aa3 rating to the Town of Townsend, MA's$2.5 million of outstanding general obligation bonds. The outstanding bonds are secured by the town's unlimited general obligation tax pledge, with the debt service for $2.1 million in debt voted exempt from the levy limitations of Proposition 2 ½.
