Netherlands, Government of -- Moody's publishes annual credit report on the Netherlands
London, 20 December 2012 -- The Netherlands' Aaa sovereign rating is underpinned by very high levels of economic, institutional and government financial strength, which contribute to the country's low susceptibility to event risk, says Moody's Investors Service in its new annual credit report on the Netherlands. However, the negative outlook on the Netherlands' Aaa rating reflects the risks emanating from the euro area, primarily the likelihood that further contingent liabilities could crystallise on the Dutch government's balance sheet and the possibility that the country's already weak domestic growth outlook could be further undermined by uncertainty stemming from the euro area.
