Moody's updates report on French legal framework for covered bonds
Paris, July 24, 2014 -- Changes to the French covered bond law passed in May 2014 have further strengthened the covered bond framework and are likely to reduce losses or a payment disruption if the sponsor bank defaults, says Moody's Investors Service in an updated Special Comment published today. France's covered bond legal framework has a number of very strong features, alongside some elements that are weaker from a credit perspective.
