Moody's requests comments on revised approach to rating instruments backed by CLO/CDO secured debt and equity tranches

New York, July 29, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service has published a supplemental Request for Comment seeking feedback from market participants on its revised approach to rating instruments backed by CLO/CDO secured debt and equity tranches. On April 21, 2016, Moody's published a Request for Comment (RFC) on proposed changes to its approach to rating combination securities, noting that Moody's is considering whether to continue rating securities with a rated balance promise that differs from the entire contractual promise of those securities. The comment period for the April RFC ended on June 10, 2016.
