Moody's removes the rating on ISIN IT0005204778 issued by Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A.
Frankfurt am Main, October 20, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service has removed the rating on the EUR700 million Floating Rate Covered Bonds (Obbligazioni Bancarie Garantite) due 29 October 2020 (ISIN IT0005204778) issued by Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. under the EUR20 billion Covered Bond (Obbligazioni Bancarie Garantite) programme, guaranteed by MPS Covered Bond 2 S.r.l. Covered bonds issued under this programme are not rated by Moody's. Due to an internal administrative error, covered bonds with ISIN IT0005204778 were inadvertently linked to the Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A's EUR10 billion Covered Bond (Obbligazioni Bancarie Garantite) programme, guaranteed by MPS Covered Bond S.r.l., and assigned a rating on 12 August 2016.
