Moody's: Outlook for packaged foods industry lowered to 'stable' as M&A increases pricing pressures
New York, April 21, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service revised its outlook for the packaged foods industry from positive to stable and lowered its projections for earnings growth over the next 12 to 18 months. Moody's analysts lowered their sales growth forecasts for the industry to 1% - 2% from 2% - 3% and adjusted the operating income forecasts downwards as well -- from 5% - 7% to 4% - 5%.
