Moody's: Newcastle CDO IX ratings unaffected by First Supplemental Indenture

New York, June 15, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service has determined that the entry by Newcastle CDO IX 1, Limited (the "Issuer") into a supplemental indenture (the "First Supplemental Indenture") by and among the Issuer, Newcastle CDO IX LLC as Co-Issuer, Newcastle Investment Corp. as Advancing Agent, and U.S. Bank National Association as Trustee, and performance of the activities contemplated herein, will not in and of themselves and at this time result in the immediate withdrawal or reduction with respect to the current rating by Moody's of any class of Notes issued by the Issuer. Moody's does not express an opinion as to whether the First Supplemental Indenture could have non-credit-related effects.
