Moody's: Brazil's rigid spending plans and deteriorating economic strength weigh on ratings
New York, March 25, 2016 -- A severe contraction that was preceded by several years of below-trend growth has impaired Brazil's (Ba2 negative) underlying economic strength, despite the country's large and diversified economy, says Moody's Investors Service. The country's credit rating is also coming under pressure from the government's high level of mandatory spending.
