Mizuho Bank, Ltd. -- Moody's affirms Mizuho's ratings

Tokyo, July 01, 2013 -- Moody's Japan K.K. has affirmed all of the ratings of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. (Mizuho) and its subsidiaries other than the subordinated debt ratings of Mizuho's subsidiaries which remain on review for downgrade. The ratings affirmation includes the Prime-1 rating of Mizuho, the A1/Prime-1 deposit and senior debt ratings and C-/baa1 standalone bank financial strength ratings (BFSR) and baseline credit assessments (BCA) of its subsidiary banks: Mizuho Bank, Ltd., Mizuho Trust & Banking Co., Ltd. (MHTB) (together, the "Mizuho banks") and the A1/Prime-1 deposit ratings and C/a3 BFSR/BCA of Trust & Custody Services Bank, Ltd. (TCSB).
