Milbank Insurance Co. -- Moody's confirms State Auto's A3 financial strength rating; outlook negative

New York, May 27, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service has confirmed the A3 insurance financial strength ratings of members of the State Automobile Mutual Group (State Auto) and State Auto Financial Corporation (STFC). The outlook for the ratings is negative reflecting weak and volatile underwriting profitability and the potential for further adverse development on reserves for its run-off specialty restaurant and commercial trucking operation.
