New York, February 23, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service has applied an A1 rating to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's (NY) $338 million Transportation Revenue Refunding Green Bonds, Subseries 2016A-2 (Climate Bond Certified). On February 2, 2016 Moody's assigned an A1 rating to MTA's $500 million Transportation Revenue Green Bonds, Series 2016A (Climate Bond Certified). At the time of the pricing, MTA split the series into two subseries. The A1 rating applies to both subseries. The previously-rated series is now the $444.6 million Transportation Revenue Green Bonds, Subseries 2016A-1 (Climate Bond Certified) and the second series, the Subseries 2016A-2, will refund outstanding parity debt for estimated net present value savings.
