Massachusetts Dept. of Trans.- Metro.Hwy.Sys. -- Moody's Reinstates Aa3/VMIG 1 on LOC-Backed Mass. DOT- Metro Highway System Senior Lien 2010 Ser. A-2 Bonds

New York, April 12, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service has assigned credit enhanced Aa3 and VMIG 1 ratings to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Metropolitan Highway System Revenue Bonds (Senior) Variable Rate Demand Obligations 2010 Series A-2 (the Bonds). The reinstatement of the ratings is in connection with the issuance of a direct pay letter of credit (LOC) by Barclays Bank PLC (the Bank) to support the Bonds. The ratings were withdrawn on July 2, 2013 following the expiration of the original LOC supporting the Bonds.
