Frankfurt am Main, December 11, 2015 -- In the coming weeks, Italy (Baa2 stable) is set to approve its 2016 budget. While Italy's structural reform efforts will benefit the country's economy, the envisaged fiscal measures outlined in Italy's draft 2016 budget (Stability Law) are partly credit negative, says Moody's Investors Service in a report published today. The draft budget leads to a higher headline and structural deficit in 2016 than envisaged back in April.
