Bayer AG -- Moody's reviews Bayer's ratings for downgrade on Monsanto acquisition announcement

London, 24 May 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") today placed under review for downgrade the A3 senior unsecured notes rating assigned to Bayer AG (Bayer) and its guaranteed subsidiaries Bayer US Finance LLC, Bayer Capital Corporation B.V., Bayer Corporation, Bayer Holding Ltd. and Bayer Nordic SE, and the (P)A3 senior unsecured MTN programme rating assigned to Bayer, Bayer Capital Corporation B.V., Bayer Holding Ltd. and Bayer Nordic SE. Moody's also placed under review for downgrade the Prime-2 rating assigned to the CP programme of Bayer and its guaranteed subsidiary Bayer Corporation as well as the Baa2 ratings assigned to the hybrid notes issued by Bayer.
