Alere, Inc. -- Alere's restatement is credit negative; no change to ratings or outlook
New York, May 13, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service commented that Alere, Inc.'s announcement that its audited and quarterly financial statements for 2014 will need to be restated and cannot be relied upon is credit negative. However, Moody's believes that the company's earnings and cash flow remain strong enough to support the B2 Corporate Family Rating and stable outlook despite the restatement.
