Workday Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - Software maker Workday Inc (WDAY), Monday reported fourth-quarter net loss of $81.1 million or $0.42 per share, compared to a loss of $59.5 million or $0.32 per share last year.

Adjusted loss were $0.01 per share, narrower than last year's $0.06 per share.

Total revenues were $323.4 million, an increase of 43% from last year's $226.3 million.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected a loss of $0.05 per share on revenues of $319.63 million for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to the first quarter, Workday expects revenues of $337 to $339 million. For the full year, the company expects revenues of $1.54 billion to $1.55 billion. Analysts currently estimate revenues of $343.3 million for the first quarter and $1.55 billion for the full year.
