Werner CEO Greg Werner To Retire

(RTTNews) - Werner Enterprises, Inc. (WERN) said Friday that Greg Werner has decided to retire as Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Greg, who served the company for 40 years, including the last 8 years as CEO, will remain on the company's Board of Directors while transitioning out of the day to day responsibilities.

The Omaha, Nebraska-based transportation and logistics company said its board has elected founder and Chairman C.L. Werner as Chief Executive Officer.

Going forward, C.L. plans to groom existing President and Chief Operating Officer, Derek Leathers, for an even larger role in the company.
