Waste Connections Q3 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Waste Connections, Inc. (WCN) reported net income for the third quarter of $60.1 million or $0.48 per share, compared to $60.7 million or $0.49 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the third quarter was $70.2 million or $0.56 per share, compared to $63.7 million or $0.51 per share in the prior year quarter.

Revenue for the third quarter rose 8.5% to $546.6 million from $503.6 million a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.54 per share on revenue of $534.55 million for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
