Waste Connections Q3 adjusted earnings Beat Estimates

(RTTNews) - Waste Connections (WCN) revealed a profit for its third quarter that rose from the same period last year.

The company's bottom line came in at $150.77 million, or $0.57 per share. This compares with $123.41 million, or $0.47 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, Waste Connections reported adjusted earnings of $181.87 million or $0.69 per share for the period.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.67 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 5.8% to $1.28 billion from $1.21 billion last year.
