Waste Connections Q2 adjusted earnings Inline With Estimates

(RTTNews) - Waste Connections (WCN) announced a profit for its second quarter that increased from the same period last year.

The company's earnings came in at $148.85 million, or $0.56 per share. This compares with $138.68 million, or $0.52 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Excluding items, Waste Connections reported adjusted earnings of $181.27 million or $0.69 per share for the period.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.69 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 10.5% to $1.37 billion from $1.24 billion last year.
