Waste Connections Bottom Line Declines 5% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Waste Connections (WCN) revealed a profit for third quarter that declined from last year.

The company said its earnings totaled $66.53 million, or $0.54 per share. This was down from $70.29 million, or $0.56 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.53 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 0.3% to $547.94 million. This was up from $546.55 million last year.
