Volkswagen Recalls 38,000 Cars In The U.S.

(RTTNews) - Volkswagen Group of America, a part of German auto giant Volkswagen AG (VKW.L, VLKAF, VOW.BE), is reported to be recalling about 38,000 cars as there was the risk of a fire stemming from a fuel leak in the engine.

There were no reports of injuries or accidents due to the problem, the reports said.

Vehicles included in the recall include 2014-2015 models of the Volkswagen Beetle, Jetta and Passat and 2015 models of the Golf and GTI.

Explaining how one may sense the problem, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said drivers might smell gas inside their vehicles.
