Universal Forest Products Reports 103% Rise In Q4 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Universal Forest Products (UFPI) reported earnings for its fourth quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $18.90 million, or $0.93 per share. This was up from $9.31 million, or $0.46 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.80 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.4% to $653.60 million. This was up from $620.09 million last year.
