Universal Forest Products Bottom Line Advances 9% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Universal Forest Products (UFPI) announced a profit for its third quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $27.82 million, or $1.36 per share. This was up from $25.56 million, or $1.26 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.35 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.4% to $826.67 million. This was up from $762.28 million last year.
