United Rentals Results Top Estimate - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - United Rentals Inc (URI), the equipment-rental company, Wednesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $192 million or $1.84 per share compared with $143 million or $1.35 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $2.20 per share compared with $1.63 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $1.54 billion compared with $1.31 billion in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $2.08 per share on revenues of $1.51 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
