United Natural Foods Q4 Earnings Fall 2%

(RTTNews) - United Natural Foods (UNFI) reported earnings for fourth quarter that retreated from last year.

The company said its profit fell to $35.33 million, or $0.70 per share. This was down from $36.10 million, or $0.72 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.63 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.8% to $2.21 billion. This was up from $1.96 billion last year.
