Ulta Q3 Profit Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. (ULTA) Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $45.4 million or $0.70 per share, up from $38.2 million or $0.59 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter was $2.07 per share. On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.74 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Sales increased 22.4 percent to $618.8 million from $505.6 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $622.03 million. Comparable store sales increased 6.8 percent over last year.

Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the company has forecast earnings in the range of $1.07 to $1.10 per share, with revenues ranging between $853 million and $867 million. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $1.24 per share on fourth-quarter revenues of $894.82 million.
