U-Haul of West Lafayette Now Offering Self-Storage Near Purdue

Until recently, U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lafayette lacked the space to expand its operation and provide self-storage. But thanks to the recent acquisition of a 2.84-acre abutting property, U-Haul® is adding approximately 41,400 square feet of outdoor drive-up self-storage.

"We haven't had a self-storage footprint in West Lafayette," said Anthony Jones, U-Haul Company of Central Indiana president. "We will be adding about 650 storage units between the abutting property and an additional building that is currently under construction."

U-Haul acquired the former A+ Storage facility on May 2 and drive-up storage is now available. The new building under construction will be completed this fall and meet customer demand for indoor climate-controlled rooms.

Jones added that the expansion project will lead to several new positions at the store, and U-Haul will look to hire locally to promote job growth within West Lafayette.
