Tyonek Awarded $110M Contract to Produce Environmental Control Units for the US Army
MADISON, Ala., Oct. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- TFab Defense Systems, LLC (TFD), a subsidiary of Tyonek Manufacturing Group, Inc. (TMG) and Tyonek Native Corporation (TNC), has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground to provide Improved Environmental Control Units (IECU). The company forged a partnership with HDT Global (HDT) and Rocky Research to pursue the effort.

As the prime contractor, TFD will manufacture, test, and deliver four ECU variants which are designed to replace currently fielded units. The new variants will comply with statutory and regulatory restrictions on the use of Class II Ozone Depleting Chemicals (ODCs). The products will be produced in TFD's Madison, Ala. manufacturing facility and HDT's facility in Solon, Ohio.
