Tween Brand Justice To Launch Entertainment Division Justice Studios
(RTTNews) - Justice, the tween brand owned by Ascena Retail Group Inc. (ASNA), Tuesday announced launch of a new entertainment division, Justice Studios.
The new arm of the company will focus on creating original content, including graphic novels, video series, music, documentaries and more, the company said in a statement.
"We continue to look for unique ways to engage our audience outside the store, and we view Justice Studios as the next step in our retail evolution," said Lece Lohr, President of Justice. "Our goal is to create empowering content that supports our Live Justice values, and shows girls that they can truly change the world."
Justice has partnered with Elevate Pictures, a Columbus, Ohio-based entertainment and production company to development three projects including a graphic novel series, "Ultra Squad," a documentary, "Finding Clara," as well as the "Live Justice" Awards.
"Ultra Squad," a graphic novel series is written by Elevate Pictures partner Julia DeVillers, and will follow the adventures of four tween girls as they battle an evil force threatening Earth, and use their magical girl powers to save the universe. The first novel will launch in Justice stores nationwide and online November 3.
"Finding Clara" is a documentary in partnership with BalletMet, Elevate Pictures and Justice. The original series follows the girls through auditions, months of challenging rehearsals as well as the moment the girls found out who landed the lead role of Clara in "Nutcracker."
"Live Justice Awards" which took place this year will also expanded to next year as well.

Dutch Bros Coffee sells stake, to add 500 locations in 5 years
Dutch Bros Coffee, the country's largest privately held coffee retailer, Tuesday said it has sold a minority stake in the company to private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Dutch Bros said the partnership will help the company to expand its unique brand and Dutch Luv culture to new markets and to add 500 more shops in five years.

Dutch Bros Coffee currently has more than 300 locations and 9,000 employees in seven states. The company is headquartered in Grants Pass, Oregon, and was founded in 1992 by Dane and Travis Boersma.
