Tumi Holdings Q4 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Tumi Holdings, Inc. (TUMI) posted fourth-quarter net income of $20.8 million or $0.31 per share, compared to $16.9 million or $0.25 per share in the same period last year.

On average, nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.30 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales improved 16.2 percent to $147.41 million from $126.85 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $144.93 million.

Looking ahead, to fiscal 2014, the company expects earnings to be in the range of $0.92 to $0.96 per share and net sales to increase between 15% and 17%. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $0.97 per share and revenue of 17.20%.
