Tsakos Energy Navigation Q2 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Tsakos Energy Navigation Limited (TNP) said that its net loss attributable to common stockholders for the second quarter was $1.9 million or $0.02 per share, narrower than $2.1 million or $0.04 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Voyage revenues for the quarter grew to $112.40 million from the prior year's $108.09 million.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.02 per share and revenues of $75.16 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

As previously announced, the company will pay a dividend of $0.05 per share of common stock outstanding on August 14, 2014 to shareholders of record as of August 11, 2014.

The company also said its Board of Directors has declared a dividend of $0.05 per share of common stock outstanding to be paid on November 25, 2014 to shareholders of record as of November 21, 2014.
