TripAdvisor, Inc. Reveals Fall In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - TripAdvisor, Inc. (TRIP) revealed earnings for fourth quarter that retreated from last year.

The company said its profit fell to $8 million, or $0.06 per share. This was down from $23 million, or $0.16 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.14 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.6% to $321 million. This was up from $316 million last year.
