Trinity Industries Reveals 37% Advance In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - Trinity Industries (TRN) reported a profit for its third quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $204.3 million, or $1.31 per share. This was up from $149.4 million, or $0.91 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.16 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.3% to $1.54 billion. This was down from $1.56 billion last year.
