Trinity Industries Q2 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Trinity Industries, Inc. (TRN) reported net income of $164.2 million or $1.01 per share for the second quarter, compared to $84.0 million or $0.52 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Revenues for the second quarter rose 39% to $1.5 billion from $1.1 billion for the same quarter of 2013.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.77 per share on revenue of $1.35 billion for the second quarter.

The company raised its full year 2014 earnings guidance to a range of $3.90 to $4.10 per share from its prior guidance of $3.50 to $3.75 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $3.76 per share for he full year 2014.
