Trinity Industries Names Steve McDowell VP&Chief Audit Executive; Hikes Dividend

(RTTNews) - Trinity Industries Inc. (TRN) announced that Steve McDowell has joined Trinity as Vice President and Chief Audit Executive.

McDowell joins Trinity from Dean Foods, where he held a variety of management positions and most recently served as Vice President, Internal Audit and Risk Management. Before that, he served as Vice President - Internal Audit at Centex Corporation. McDowell's professional experience includes a variety of leadership roles in internal audit and public accounting.

Separately, Trinity Industries declared an increase in its quarterly dividend to 15 cents per share on its $1.00 par value common stock. The new dividend reflects an increase of 15% compared to the current quarterly dividend of 13 cents per share. Together with the 2 cent per share increase declared in May, the Company has increased its quarterly dividend 36% in 2013. The quarterly cash dividend is payable October 31, 2013 to stockholders of record on October 15, 2013.
