TreeHouse Foods Q3 Profit Declines - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (THS) reported that its third-quarter net income decreased to $19.9 million or $0.47 per share, from $22.7 million or $0.61 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Adjusted earnings per share increased 8.5% in the third quarter to $0.89 compared to $0.82 in the prior year. On average, 15 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.92 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales increased to $795.73 million from $567.15 million, last year, while 12 analysts expected revenue of $789.53 million for the quarter.

For full-year 2014, the company now expects adjusted earnings per share to be in the range of $3.60 to $3.70, compared to its prior range of $3.60 to $3.75. Analysts expect the company to report fiscal 2014 earnings per share of $3.72.
